As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing revenue.  You will proactively identify, engage in, and drive sales based on targeted customer lists and up-sell opportunities. Use a consultative approach to drive and close significant sales by focusing on Unified Communications and related Collaboration technologies including Call Center solutions that integrate Microsoft and Mitel. 

The position involves selling, in a sales overlay environment; Unified Communications, VOIP, SIP, internet and IP technology services with a focus on-premise and cloud-based IP communication solutions network. It includes pre-sales analysis of customer requirements, determination of integration requirements to existing customer systems, and presentation of customer solutions. Ability to qualify and document customer strategic business requirements, negotiate contracts, exhibit strong financial management and ROI skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain positive business relationships between the company and its clients (both internal and external)

  • Provide sales input to proposals in response to RFIs and RFPs.

  • Develop clients’ IT projects to meet adequately all business needs of the assigned clients

  • Ensure all IT projects are streamlined towards the prescribed budget

  • Report activities regarding the status of any client-related transaction

  • Advocate the needs and expectations of the client to ensure compliance by top management towards achieving customer satisfaction, which is the sole goal of the organization.

  • Collaborate with the Client Services team to ensure compliance with customer’s expectations

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success

  • Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs

  • Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks

  • Assist with conflicts resolution and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner

  • Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives

  • Monitor sales metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)

  • Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth

Understanding of:

  • Solutions selling approach to Senior Executives is required.

  • IT field concepts, procedures, and practices

  • Carrier Services, Unified Communications, Cloud Solutions, Bandwidth, and IP technology services.

Qualities Needed:

  • 3+ years of direct sales experience and a proven record of success in selling technology solutions

  • Demonstrate ability to translate business requirements into technology-based solutions.

  • Possess latitude and creativity in handling customers’ accounts

  • Ability to relate with customers, top management, and junior staff members in the IT department and across other departments

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal cross-functional organizations and customers.

  • Be a team player, who is self-motivated, organized, and pays strict attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills and the ability to negotiate with large customers.

  • Self-teaching and learning.

  • Candidate must have the ability to travel within assigned sales territory or outside sales territory as may be required. 

  • B.S./ B.A. preferred.
